Embedded Systems & Power Electronics Intern

Work on embedded firmware and EV electronic systems powering next-generation electric motorcycles.
This is an onsite-only position in Bangalore. Do not apply if you are not currently in Bangalore.
- Assist in circuit design and PCB layout
- Support prototyping, validation, and system testing
- Develop embedded firmware in C/C++
- Work on motor controllers, BMS, and EV subsystems
- Troubleshoot electronic and firmware issues
- Participate in debugging and performance optimization
- Develop and debug communication protocols with strong emphasis on CAN

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Intern – EV Powertrain Systems

Internship
Integrate advanced Machine Learning algorithms and edge AI intelligence into core EV electronics like the BMS and MCU.
This is a hybrid position.
Work at the intersection of AI and embedded software to deploy intelligent predictive models directly onto our electric motorcycle's electronic control units.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy TinyML / edge ML models tailored for resource-constrained microcontrollers (MCU)
- Implement AI algorithms within the Battery Management System (BMS) for real-time State of Charge (SoC), State of Health (SoH) tracking, and predictive thermal management
- Optimize motor control unit (MCU) efficiency and torque profiles using real-time predictive modeling
- Collaborate with the embedded electronics team to map sensor data pipelines to AI inputs
- Simulate, test, and validate model behavior against physical motorcycle runtime constraints
- Fresher or Pursuing Computer Science / Electronics / Robotics Engineering or related technical field with a heavy focus on Machine Learning. This is an internship position, do not apply if you are already employed.
- Hands-on experience with TinyML frameworks (TensorFlow Lite for Microcontrollers, Edge Impulse, etc.)
- Strong mathematical and programming foundations in Python and embedded C/C++
- Familiarity with processing time-series data from sensors (current, voltage, temperature, speed)
- Basic understanding of EV powertrain architecture, BMS logic, and MCU behaviors is highly preferred

Senior Embedded Systems Integration Engineer (Automotive / EV)

Lead the integration, validation, and troubleshooting of multiple vehicle controllers within our electric vehicle platform, ensuring seamless communication between VCU, BMS, Motor Controller, ABS, Dashboard, Telematics, Charger, DC-DC Converter, and other vehicle ECUs over CAN networks.
Zitto Motors is seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Integration Engineer to lead the integration, validation, and troubleshooting of multiple vehicle controllers within our electric vehicle platform. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with vehicle integration, CAN communication, embedded systems debugging, and automotive diagnostics.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate and validate communication between VCU, BMS, Motor Controller/Inverter, ABS Controller, Dashboard/HMI, Telematics Unit, Onboard Charger (OBC), DC-DC Converter, and additional vehicle ECUs
- Develop and maintain CAN communication matrices, DBC files, signal mapping documentation, and vehicle network architecture documentation
- Debug communication issues using tools such as PEAK CAN, Vector CANalyzer, Vector CANoe, Kvaser, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
- Perform vehicle-level integration testing and validation
- Analyze CAN logs and troubleshoot missing messages, bus-off conditions, arbitration issues, incorrect signal decoding, and network timing problems
- Coordinate with firmware, hardware, vehicle dynamics, and testing teams
- Support development of vehicle features such as torque management, regenerative braking, ride modes, cruise control, fault management, and functional safety mechanisms
- Create integration test plans and validation reports
- Support HIL, SIL, and vehicle testing activities
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Mechatronics
- 5+ years of experience in automotive embedded systems
- Strong understanding of CAN 2.0A/B, CAN FD, UDS Diagnostics, J1939, and ISO-TP
- Experience integrating multiple automotive ECUs
- Proficiency in C, embedded debugging, and CAN tools and diagnostics
- Experience reading and debugging schematics, wiring harnesses, and CAN topologies
- Hands-on experience with firmware flashing, bootloaders, and calibration tools
- EV powertrain integration experience
- Experience with VCU development, BMS integration, motor controllers, ABS systems, and Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR, Ethernet Automotive Networks, LIN, and MQTT-based telematics
- Experience with HIL systems such as dSPACE, NI, ETAS
