Responsibilities
Process CAD geometry to meet CFD standards
Perform CFD analysis of vehicle using CFD software (pre/post, solver) to evaluate aerodynamic performance
Utilize the analytical skill set and simulation tools to analyze the fluid flow systems and recommendations for design improvements at different stages of product development process.
Qualifications
B. Tech / M. Tech Automobile / Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering with relevant internship / project / thesis experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). A specialization in External Aerodynamics for commercial vehicles would be beneficial.
Strong fundamental understanding of aerodynamics and heat transfer for vehicle applications.
Hands on experience in complete CFD process (Pre-processing, Solver setup and Post processing) for external aerodynamics
Structured meshes for external aerodynamics flow simulations using ANSYS-ICEM CFD and/or any meshing softwares.
Good comprehension in external aerodynamics of vehicle.
Good grasp of meshing and solver setup requirements for CFD to address the involved flow physics
Good understanding of turbulence modelling
Hands on experience of generating both structured and unstructured grids for CFD following best practices involved
Software knowledge:
- Pre processing: ICEM CFD, Ansys mesh, Fluent Meshing,
- Post processing: Ansys, StarCCM+, OpenFoam
